Bar Soap vs Liquid Soap - Which is better for you?

Bar Soap vs Liquid Soap - Which is better for you?

When it comes to choosing the right soap for your skin, the options can be overwhelming. At Tsuki Soap, we have both natural bar soaps and natural liquid castile soaps are both popular choices, but which one is the best for you? Let's take a closer look at the pros and cons of each to help you make an informed decision.

Pros of Natural Bar Soaps:

  1. Contains more active ingredients like honey, oat, clays and botanicals that can help moisturise and provide good skin care benefits.
  2. Environmentally friendly, as they often come in minimal packaging.
  3. Can last longer than liquid soaps if used well (kept dry and not sitting in water), making them more cost-effective in the long run.
  4. Does not contain preservatives, making them a great choice for sensitive skin.

Cons of Natural Bar Soaps:

  1. Can be less hygienic, unless you store it well. Keep it as dry as possible nad not sitting in a puddle of water so that bacteria will not grow.
  2. Some bar soaps can be drying to the skin, unless they are formulated well like at Tsuki Soap, where we make very gentle and mild bar soaps that are moisturising.
  3. Not as convenient for travel, as they can get messy and require a soap dish.

Pros of Natural Liquid Soaps:

  1. More hygienic than bar soaps, as they come in pump bottles that reduce the risk of contamination and easy to share among the family.
  2. Easier to use for children and individuals with mobility issues.
  3. Our Tsuki Soap Liquid Castile soaps also contain added glycerin which provides more hydrating goodness for your skin.
  4. Easy to travel with, especially our Tsuki Soap travel size liquid soaps.

Cons of Natural Liquid Soaps:

  1. Comes in plastic packaging, which may not be as eco-friendly as bar soaps.
  2. Heavier and contains water which might be less eco-friendly.

What is better for you?

Ultimately, both natural bar soaps and natural liquid soaps can be suitable for all skin types. If you have sensitive skin, and want additional skin care active ingredients, opt for one of our bar soaps with moisturising oats and honey in them. If convenience is your top priority, our natural liquid soap may be the better choice.

Consider your personal preferences and skin needs when making your decision, and enjoy the benefits of our natural, nourishing bar or liquid soaps!
